Each State Society is an autonomous organization, so if you live in Maryland, you will apply to us for membership in the Mayflower Society. If you live elsewhere, go to our page on Other Mayflower Websites and follow the link to the General Mayflower Society website, where you will find contact information for other Mayflower State Societies.

How to Apply for Membership

To begin the application process, you should mark your e-mail Subject line: "Request For Information" from the Historian of the Maryland Mayflower Society at the following e-mail address:

rainbowflyer@verizon.net

It is recommended to print the
"Preliminary Review Worksheet",
and complete your lineage. This should be mailed to the Maryland Mayflower Society Historian at the following address:

Mr. John L. Pettit
916 Kent Avenue
Baltimore, MD 21228-1211.

The Historian will advise you on the preparation of an application for membership. Please note that membership will not be conferred until (1) your application has been approved both by the Maryland State Historian and by the Historian General of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, and (2) you have paid all requisite fees and dues.

Application Fees and Dues

Filing Fee.  A non-refundable filing fee of $50 must accompany each application, which will remain open for further action for a period of two years.  This application fee applies to all applications.  The fee is payable with your application and is not refundable if the line is rejected or the application forfeited.
